BlacKat: SC6: Flame Maple  

BlacKat Guitars are manufactured in Poland by musicians who are also Luthiers.
This is the first 'traditional' sunburst finish BlacKat have ever created and how
beautiful it has turned out.  SC6 stands for Singlecut Classic 6 string. 

The satin sunburst finish shows off the highly figured top beautifully and the whole top is bound with black ABS binding. This guitar features lots of nice upgrades such as sunken control cavities and new 5 bolt neck joint.

Pau Ferro/Ebony neck, Ebony fretboard, stainless steel frets, Cat Paw inlay, Luminlays side dots

This is a neck to die for. This BlacKat SC6 features a top of the line Pau Ferro neck with thick Ebony neck stripes. This new neck carve is super flat and asymmetrical, it feels sublime. Sitting on top of the neck is a jet black piece of Ebony with 24 stainless steel jumbo frets. These are some of the smoothest and shiniest frets ever.

BlacKat spend hours and use several different processes to end up with frets as smooth and polished as these. Strings bend effortlessly across them and being stainless steel they should last a life time.

The signature Cat Paw inlay features across the 12th fret (Pictured As Blue-minlay ;) and on the side of the fingerboard resides Green Luminlays glow in the dark dots. The neck is bound with black ABS binding which continues round the headstock which is capped off with matching sunburst Flame Maple. The neck has a 25.5" scale length and the fingerboard radius is a compound 12.6-16". You can string bend to infinity!

Hipshot hardware, graphite nut, Dunlop straploks

 The low profile Hipshot hardtail bridge is strung through the body and is smooth and comfortable for palm muting. Hipshot are also employed for the excellent O-Ring control knobs and Griplock tuners. These locking tuners are a joy to use. They lock the string in place making changes a breeze and tuning stability rock solid. Fine tuning adjustments are made all the easier thanks to the self lubricating graphite nut and straight string pull. The BlacKat SC6 also comes fitted with a pair of Dunlop straploks to make sure it stays in place when using a guitar strap.

Bare Knuckle Painkiller humbuckers custom wired to a 5-way super switch Loaded in to the body of this BlacKat SC6 is a pair of Bare Knuckle Painkillers. These have been cleverly wired to a 5 way super switch offering full humbucker and hum-cancelling split coil sounds. There's no weedy sounding coil taps here. Just a range of usable sounds for a variety of styles of music.

Of course this BlacKat SC6 excels in the heavier side of music. The Painkiller pickups are high output with a tight grinding crunch, extremely fast bass response and aggressive upper mid impact. It's the ultimate 'Djent' humbucker.

Custom BlacKat Hiscox hard case. Your BlacKat SC6 comes with its own fitted Hiscox hardcase proudly wearing the BlacKat logo on the outside. Inside you'll find a GruvGear fretwrap, Dunlop straploks and allen keys.
